| • | United Debt Counseling will evaluate your unique financial situation and present you with suitable options for debt settlement. Personal information, including monthly statements from creditors, may be required. |
| • | Actual results will vary based on individual situations, your ability to save sufficient funds and does not promise a specific reduction in debt. |
| • | The success of United Debt Counseling’s program depends upon the client’s participation and ability to complete all program terms. If the client terminates the program before the client has saved sufficient funds in its set-aside account to effect a settlement, then the program will not produce the desired results. Furthermore, no specific results can be predicted or guaranteed. |
| • | UDC will NOT charge a settlement fee until an account has been successfully settled. |
| • | We are not attorneys. We cannot give legal advice. The company’s program does not provide tax, legal, or credit repair advice. If you have any legal questions, please seek the advice of a licensed attorney. |
| • | You have stated that, because of circumstances beyond your control (hardship), you are unable to meet the minimum payments required by your creditors. If you do not make required minimum payments to your creditors you may be breaking the terms of your agreements with them and your actions will probably be reported to consumer reporting agencies as late,
delinquent, charged-off or past due balances. Your creditor may also raise the interest rate on your account and impose other penalties. Your account balance may continue to grow as your creditor adds accrued interest, late fees, over-limit fees and penalties. Your balance may continue to grow until a settlement is reached with your creditor; and, if negotiations are unsuccessful, you could be called upon to pay the full amount. |
| • | Client’s participation in United Debt Counseling’s program will not, of itself, cause client’s creditors to cease any collection efforts, including phone calls, letters, hiring collection agencies, filing lawsuits or even garnishing wages. |
| • | United Debt Counseling’s program does not assume or pay your debts. |
| • | By providing your contact information, you agree to receive return telephone calls, emails or other communications from United Debt Counseling and its affiliates and expressly waive any No Call preference or registration. |
| • | Most creditors will negotiate with debt settlement companies; however, settlement companies cannot force a creditor to negotiate or settle debt. |
| • | Fees paid to United Debt Counseling are not funds to be used for settlement. |
| • | There may be a delay before creditors are contacted. |
| • | Settlement savings may be considered a taxable benefit. |
| • | If you do not revoke this agreement within the seven (7) day revocation period, then the fee becomes non-refundable. |
